“REACHING”

Another day has passed as I rest.
Looking at the stars, I wonder where lives will take me.
Will I never awaken? Will Anubis judge me and guide me to the Sea of Reeds?
What does Lachessie have in store for me tomorrow?

I look back, reaching through the waters of time.
What I did, what I should’ve done, what I didn’t do,
What might’ve happened to me if I did this, what I might be if I did that?
Lasting questions… burning sometimes through the soul.

Then I look around, and see where I am now.
What I’ve become, what I’ve attained, what I’ve lost, what I’ve found;
Smiling, I look back to the stars… many an eon old.
It has never been so clear, as it dawned upon me to see the witnesses of many.

There’s so much I can do… whatever I could do…
I guess I may never know what may come, what Lachessie has in store,
Yet we make our own destiny…
We only reach for one of the many to choose…
